Morgan Hill Walking Group members attended the opening of the new Boccardo Trail in Alum Rock Park, San Jose, California on 11 May 2002.  The trail was built on a newly annexed parcel with funds provided by well-known San Jose attorney James Boccardo, in memory of his father, John Boccardo. It is part of a system of trails which will eventually encircle San Francisco Bay.
